| St. Johns Golden-Girls Track Team is an age
group travel team consisting of girls of any faith, from grades 1st through
8th. Classification is done by grade not by age and the meets are against multiple teams. Our spring season runs from the first weekend in April through the 3rd weekend in June. The cost for the spring season is $40 per child. (multiple child family discounts are available) The fall season runs from the 1st weekend after Labor Day through the last weekend in October. The cost for the fall season is $35. There is a one-time team shirt fee of $12. Our meets are held in both Suffolk and Nassau County with the furthest traveling distance of no more than 1 hour. At each meet there are prizes awarded for the top 3 finishers in each event. These prizes range from ribbons to medals to trophies. Besides teaching running and field event skills, we are also proud to teach good sportsmanship, teamwork and loyalty. At the conclusion of each season there is a team awards night. We have been in existence for over 38 years and are very proud not only of our record but that we now have children in our program whose parents were a part of the program when they were children themselves.
