| About the Team: St. Johns Girl's Track Team is a travel team including girls of any faith, from grade K through grade 8. In addition to teaching running and field event skills, we are proud to foster sportsmanship, teamwork and loyalty. Our team has been in existence for more than 39 years and we are proud not only of our record but that we now have children in our program whose parents were a part of the program when they were children themselves. Track Meets: Runners compete by grade and meets include multiple teams. Meets are held in both Suffolk County and Nassau County with the furthest traveling distance of no more than 1 hour. At each meet there are prizes awarded for the top 3 finishers in each event. Prizes may include ribbons, medals or trophies. Uniforms: Uniforms consist of a team shirt which may be purchased for a fee of $12. White shorts are required. Spring and Fall Season: Our Spring season runs from the first weekend in April through the 3rd weekend in June. Stay tuned for more information on our Spring season. The fee for each season is $40 per child. Team Awards Celebration: At the conclusion of each season there is a team awards night.
